LOCKED HDFC ACCOUNT ???

Hi !! I'm Roshni.I'm making this post for the benefit of all those people who have a locked HDFC account because of 5 time entry of incorrect password .

I faced a similar situation too and spent hours scouring through various links and videos , and wasted 'Forgot Password' attempts, but all in vain. I even tried phone-banking but it automatically got cut within a few minutes every time I tried.
So I gave up and thought I would approach the problem with a fresh mind and probably new strategies the next day.

To my surprise the next day, around mid-day I got a message from HDFC  informing me that my Customer Id had been enabled and that I can try relogging with my IPIN .
And guess what ? I was able to login!!

So all you vexed, frustrated users out there- be patient! Your account automatically gets unlocked within the next 24 hours. Just wait for the message. Hope this helps :)

   LIKE,SHARE,COMMENT- MANIA !!

Facebook, the current ruling online obsession has evolved with time to become a means of online identification. The plain blue and white page reigns millions of teenage hearts.
The frantic, crazed alcoholic obsession in liking, commenting and instant minute to minute status updates has become a welcoming infection. If I’m not exaggerating, it has incorporated itself into the basic amentities of life- air , water, food ,shelter and FACEBOOK .

This evolution in information sharing has helped in connecting with friends in any nook and cranny of the world .It has become more of a habit to check your home page atleast once or chat with someone before you sleep otherwise you spend a restless night.

As a college student,I would say that facebook is an amusing world with an amusing population of its own. It’s the perfect place for a break , good entertainment and giggles. Out there, the people you know  exhibit totally different personalities and hence makes it a must place to stay online.

Making friends is now only a click of a button away. Personal knowledge or history  of the person no longer remains a criteria.Anybody can become friends with anybody.
Categorisation of any general friend list –
80%- strangers.
10%- hang out with them everyday but do not engage in everyday conversations.
7%-acquaintances
3%- actual friends(including relatives)
Hence , it is a means of connecting with your next door neighbour or with a penguin in Antartica.

The most commonly sighted online behavior is accepting anonymous friend requests.
And why so ? Because every user’s most prided possession , is his friend list.
The bigger the list , the better the socialiser you are. But little do we all know that the longer your list, the fewer people actually  know if you exist and if you are a male or female.

Facebook has become increasingly a very useful tool in faceless flirting.
The advantage of  not having to see the person’s expression or judging their feeling or reaction , encourages online flirting. An emoticon speaks less and hurts less when compared to a punch in the face (emoticons have less impact. It saves the risk of a blue-black eye).

The crazy drive on uploading pictures.
No matter how pretty you are , please never bore others by uploading pictures on a daily basis. It has now become a must to carry a cam for any outing. Sitting, sleeping, eating, blinking photos are common sightings. Even a trip to the grocery store or the dentist ,has to be photographed and uploaded.

The crazy ambition on achieving the maximum no of likes on any picture ,etc, I could keep going on. I am pretty sure many college goers would agree with me.
Just like Alice in Wonderland, facebook is an online wonderland.
It’s the fbians(  citizens of facebook)  that keeps this social network going.

I’ll be there for you ..

I stood amidst the swirling crowd of students ,gushing out of the building ,calling out to their friends to hurry up so that they could giggle and chatter in the 5 minutes span of reaching their buses(as though they can talk something in that 5 minutes that they haven’t talked for the entire day!).The entire campus was peppered with groups of students. Some of them would ocassionally stop on their way to check if all their friends were following and if not sending a search party for the lost musketeer.

Standing amidst the churning  ,restless crowd , I turned to my class to see my friends.I knew each and every face so well ,yet it felt like meeting acquaintances. Here is the underlying paradox- you know them so well but still you don’t know them.......

For once decelerate your life, slow down the cogs and wheels of life, slow down the amplitude of its swing and silently intraspect. You might actually have a butload of friends and an even everlasting facebook friend list. You might have even heard the the new airtel ad song- har ek friend zaruri hotha he …. , that has hit the screens.  But remove those invisible ropes of complacency and shrug off that deceiving blanket of oblivion, and ponder – kithne friends  zaruri me athe he ? how many of these friends actually justify all the aspects of a true friend?

Ask all these rhetorical questions-
How many of them check up on you when you are upset at home?
How many of them feel that you deserve every detail of their life ?
How many of them thank you from the bottom of their heart when you give them the much wanted happiness they have  longed for ?
How many of them wonder if you have problems or not ?
How many of them treat your secrets as gossip ?
How many of them pay heed to your opinion even if it is contradictory to their interests ?

Open your inner eye and let self relisation hit you.Let the shock waves hit you one by one…
When you try answering all the above questions, the actual count of your friends might be easily summable.
So next time don’t fool yourself by saying the world loves you.The no of friends who actually stand by you when the world disposes you is your actual treasure.
Cherish such friends and treat them with much more respect than they deserve .
True friends are a lubrication to every elementary nut and bolt in the mechanism of life .

When you listen to your heart singing in tune with your machinery, you know everything is alright especially when you know someone expresses her downright opinion without caring about if you’ll hate them because deep inside you know that she cares about you.

Small gestures, enormous rewards

I scanned my wardrobe to chose that day's wear.My eyes caught a growing pile of clothes that were combo of old clothes and those I had grown out of. Trashing good ,usable clothes didn't seem like a good idea. Concurring with this thought ,my mother suggested that we give them away to the poor and needy. With that ,we set off the next day with all kinds of used cum old clothes in four bags.Following my mother's lead , I wondered where she was going to take me .She walked out of the Triplicane railway station and stopped with a conclusive expression.

Another world

Puzzled, I looked around and the devastating scene right before my eyes answered my thoughts. Along the sour, stained walls of the Triplicane railway station were clumps of settlement. They had nothing that they could call a roof or a house . Some kids wore no clothes while others torn ones .In one corner was a woman trying to feed several mouths from one tin plate .Small children with unkempt hair and dirt-streaked faces slept on the pavement , while few played with a punctured tyre and bottle lids. This scene evoked a contrasting image of my colourful, well polished wardrobe at home. They would have probably never seen a full meal in their life, let alone a wardrobe.

I opened my bag and took out a couple of shirts. The next minute I was mobbed by kids of varying ages each trying to get whatever they could. One kid only as tall as my knee, took a shirt that was probably too big for her, kissed it and immediately wore it.A heavenly happiness seemed to radiate from her face. She ran forward and hugged me for something like a lifetime. To me , it was just a shirt, but to her it meant the world and maybe more.
Moreover, it gave me some undefinable pleasure on seeing that infectious smile light her face.

Stopping by to smell the roses

After distributing everything , later when I was sleeping on a fluffy pillow and was comfortably tucked into a cosy blanket , I clasped my hands and had a silent prayer , thanking God for blessing me with all the necessities of life and aiding me in giving hapiness to someone who was not as blessed as me.

No High school Musical,this

Many Hollywood movies are based on high school life. And why high school ? Because a teenager’s life has ice , spice and everything nice.If you observe carefully , your class might resemble a stereotype high school movie.
Any classroom essentially consists of these basic characters.

1)   The bully( or the dada of the class. His wish is everyone’s command . He is the unquestioned herder of the flock of clueless ,naïve  sheep.)
2)    The class jester (gets ridiculed for apparently no reason. He has no say in it .)
3)    The nerd (spends sleepless countless hours on cracking math problems. He has no materialistic needs in life .He lives and breathes the spirit of education.Probably possessed by the spirit of Aryabhatta. )
4)   The dude of the class (always surrounded by people )

And then you. You seem to fall in none of these categories. You seem to be the spectator.
For all that you know, your class story might share the same story as that of a box office hit. But is it the same ?In reality , each one of these characters have emotions .
The bully might have had marring drawbacks in his past. He would have once been picked upon , which might have developed an inferiority complex. Thus dominating over a timid crowd might actually give him a confidence boost .
The class jester , who is always the laughing stock and object of mockery might actually mean nothing funny. For all that you know , he might actually want to communicate something serious.
The nerds bonded to the pen and calculator , might have some long term goals that they are driven to achieve or for the love of the subject.
The so called ‘dude’ of the class , who is supposed to have a very high ‘cool’ quotient might actually not enjoy always being surrounded by people. He might actually want to enjoy some peace and solitude for once.

So never bar or limit people , by framing them within an identity of your opinion.Do not fence them and mark their territory, because when you do so , people get scared to try something new or something out of their league as it is not what others expect of them. Afraid of ridicule andgossip they stick to the title given to them.
Do not let the society tell you who you are. You build your personality and identity, don’t let others mould it.Take a brazen step to do what you desire . Live for yourself and not within the one tailored by others.
As Shakespeare once said,’ A rose called by any other name , smells as sweet ‘.
